Altamira: The Primal Urge to CreateA

SCULPTURE MONTH HOUSTON FESTIVAL 2021

October 9 - December 4, 2021
The Silos at Sawyer Yards
1502 Sawyer St. Suite 400
Houston, TX

The architecture of the Silos represents a near authentic experience of an urban cave environment with its numerous individual chambers and passage ways. Here the artists can picture themselves working as cave artists with all the modern technologies at their disposal and to create an arc from prehistoric art to contemporary sensibilities.

REPOSE
a digital exhibition composed of work of ten artists that incites sharing space, or touch in various mediumsfeaturing guest curatorLeslie Moody Castro07.01.20 - 09.01.20

What does it mean to exist in a world where touch incites fear?

“Repose is about the radically subversive act of simply being,
of sharing space, of touching, of wearing each other with comfort
and pride. To share space, to be connected by touch, by skin.”
Leslie Moody Castro
